Although the format is still up in the air, people don't seem to be leaping to suggest changes, so for now I'm going to assume that the podcast will follow basically the format I originally set out. Basically, three segments: one for the podcast participants to talk about whatever's been of interest to them recently, one to discuss the week's news, and then a topic discussion. I figure these will be divided into approximately 15-15-30 minute segments, in that order. Or maybe 20-20-20... I guess we'll play it by ear for now. I'm not averse to going a bit short or long, so I'm not too worried.

Anyway, the first two segments (listed, not sure what order they should actually happen in) are pretty much static from week to week, but the discussion topic will change for each podcast, and be kind of a theme for it. I think it will be fun to leave the weekly topic at least somewhat up to the forumites. With that in mind, here are a few possible general topics to vote on. (Note that the vote isn't binding, especially if we get like three votes, but we'll do our best to follow it assuming the participants all agree and whatnot.) If anyone has any other ideas, I can work my admin magic to add more choices after the fact (they call that cheating!). Hell, I'll even let people change votes if they're so inclined.

One more thing... I left the topics intentionally general and new-year friendly because this is the first podcast. Having more specific topics will be a lot of fun, I think, when we have the right set of people for them, and when we know what the hell we're doing. But for now let's start with the basics.

I'm in favor of expensive ass technology (at least, I'm in favor of talking about expensive ass technology. I think we're a bit late for a "year in preview" segment and I think that the console war could cook a little longer, we're barely out of the holiday season, which obeys its own sick rules.

I really think the three “!”s really captures the exuberance that Clair must have been feeling when he almost said it. -Cuzzo

What, are you saying we should wait until we can make informed opinions? Pshaw! But I'm down with the tech... I'd be happy to bash Apple on my very first podcast (it is so getting on iTunes if I do), and establish my position as Microsoft fanboy extraordinaire of the podcast right from the starting gate. Although frankly I can do that will all of these topics.
